Nottefonda is a red wine blend of Corvina, Pinot noir and Merlot cultivated around Verona by the Rocca Sveva winery, a subsidiary of the Cantina di Soave. The grapes go through a small period of drying (appasito) like the Amarone before being crushed and finishing their aging separately in oak casks. This dark elegant round-body 2016 vintage (“notte fonda” means dark night in Italian) offers aromas of red berries and blackberry with a soft and long-lasting finish.
