Marsellan 2017, Cantina Settemaggio

Marsellan 2017, Cantina Settemaggio

This Marsellan 2017 is a red wine produced by the Cantina Settemaggio winery located in the canton Ticino, an Italian-speaking area in the southern part of Switzerland. Marselan is a red French wine grape variety that is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. It was created in 1961 by Professor Paul Truel and is grown mostly in the Languedoc area. This Marsellan 2017 of Cantina Settemaggio enjoys a late harvesting at the end of October/early November and is then matured in new, 225-liter French oak barrels for 24 months before bottling. It is a purple wine with an elegant body releasing perfumes of plum, blackcurrant, violet and chocolate. It offers to the palate aromas of wood berries with soft tannins. Long-lasting finish.
