The Mas des Mas Pézenas is a red wine blend produced by the winery Domaines Paul Mas in the Languedoc area of the South of France. The 2016 vintage Mas des Mas Pézenas is a blend of Mourvedre, Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. This elegant-body ruby wine offers charming perfumes of blackberry, cherry and forest berries. The palate is round, delicious and elegant with complex fruity aromas accompanied by discreet hints of leather and chocolate. Only an average finish prevents this good wine to become and excellent in my opinion. This Mas des Mas Pézenas 2016 offers however a very good price-pleasure ratio.
