This Cabernet Sauvignon is produced by the Castelvecchio winery in the Carso area of the Friuli region in the North-East of Italy. The Castelvecchio winery has existed since 1750 and is now owned by the Terraneo family.
The 2016 vintage of the Castelvecchio Cabernet Sauvignon Carso is produced with grapes harvested in mid to late October. This is a wide-body elegant red wine with strong scents of blackberry, cherry, plum, red flowers and hints of licorice. The wine is smooth on the palate with fine tannins and charming wood-berries aromas.
